CIRM is present in Seoul at the International Congress of Mathematics in August 2014.
CIRM is an exhibitor at the COEX centre in Seoul in order to present its actions in favour of the international community of mathematicians, as well as its latest development: high quality films featuring conferences, lectures, interviews etc and an Audiovisual Mathematics Library allowing viewers to select sections by choosing key words. SMF and INSMI-CNRS which are trustees of CIRM are also represented on our common exhibition booth.
> Come and visit us at Booth 4-10 at the COEX Centre, Seoul from 13-21 August 2014.
Last but not least, CIRM's director, Patrick Foulon, is a plenary speaker at a satellite conference in Daejeon and will also give a short communication in Seoul on 14 August on Entropy and deformation of real projective structures on surfaces.
CIRM as a relay of ICM 2014 news
During ICM 2014 our communication department in Marseille and our correspondants on-site will do their best to update you regularly on the main news items such as the 2014 Fields Medallists, interviews with mathematicians in Seoul, special features on some of the conferences taking place etc.

- ICM 2014After Madrid (Spain, 2006) and Hyderabad (India, 2010), ICM is this year hosted by the Korean community of mathematicians under the remit of the International Mathematical Union. This is the 26th congress. Several thousands worldwide mathematicians are expected to take part. The opening ceremony will feature this year's recipients of the Fields Medal, one of the most prestigious prizes in mathematics. Other prizes such as the Chern, Gauss, Leelavati and Nevanlinna prizes will also be awarded. The scientific programme features some plenary lectures as well as thematic conferences, poster sessions and short (oral) communications. Abstracts and papers will be published in the proceedings. On top of this, over 50 satellite conferences are taking place during the summer in various Asian countries and in several cities in South Korea. The community of mathematicians working in France at an academic institution (Universities, CNRS units, Grandes Ecoles) will be largely represented: they will represent about 20% of all speakers! This amazing participation illustrates the strength and international fame of mathematical research in France. Mathematics is represented there in all its diversity from fundamental research to applied research and research at the interface with other sciences
